Bouanga Hat-Trick Fires Gabon Past Seychelles in World Cup Qualifier

Gabon cruised to a comfortable 4–0 victory over Seychelles in a FIFA World Cup CAF Qualification Group F clash played on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Côte d’Or National Sports Complex in Port Louis, Mauritius.
The Panthers made their intentions clear early on as Denis Bouanga struck just four minutes into the match. The striker added two more goals in the 34th and 38th minutes to complete a stunning first-half hat-trick that put Gabon firmly in control by the break.
Seychelles struggled to cope with the visitors’ intensity and rarely threatened in attack. Their frustration showed when defender B. Labrosse received a booking in the 48th minute. Despite making several second-half changes, the islanders could not find a way back into the contest.
Gabon wrapped up the result in the closing stages as Yannis M’Bemba scored in the 89th minute to seal the 4–0 win.
The result keeps Gabon’s qualification hopes alive while Seychelles remain rooted near the bottom of the standings.
