Atlético Madrid have verbally AGREED on personal terms with Éderson
Atlético Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Atalanta midfielder Éderson, as both clubs continue negotiations over a potential summer transfer. The Brazilian star has reportedly given his approval to the contract, clearing the first major hurdle in the deal.
Sporting director Mateu Alemany has been actively negotiating with Atalanta officials, aiming to agree a transfer fee that satisfies both sides. While Éderson’s personal terms are reportedly settled, discussions over the financial package are ongoing.
The current proposal from Atlético is believed to be in the region of €35–40 million, including add-ons, though Atalanta is reportedly seeking a higher valuation closer to €50 million. Both clubs are working to bridge this gap before the summer window opens.
Éderson’s contract at Atalanta runs until June 2027, giving the Italian club leverage but also pressure to secure a deal now, as the player could leave for free next summer.
Interest from other European clubs, including Premier League side Arsenal, adds urgency to the negotiations, with Atlético keen to finalize terms before rivals attempt to swoop in.
Éderson has been a key figure for Atalanta in recent seasons, contributing to their domestic and European campaigns with his versatility in midfield. His combination of defensive solidity and creative passing has drawn attention from top clubs across Europe.
For Atlético, signing Éderson would strengthen a midfield in need of depth and dynamism. Under Diego Simeone, Los Colchoneros are focused on staying competitive in La Liga and European competitions, and Éderson is seen as a key target to help achieve that.
