Arsenal have emerged as one of the leading contenders for this season’s UEFA Champions League crown, according to the Opta supercomputer. The model, which simulates the tournament thousands of times, places the Gunners among the top two teams most likely to lift the trophy.
Opta projects Liverpool as the current favourites with a 20 percent chance of winning, followed closely by Arsenal at around 16 percent. This keeps Mikel Arteta’s side firmly in the mix after last season’s deep run, where they briefly topped the probabilities with more than 30 percent following their victory over Real Madrid.
With a squad blending youthful energy and experience, Arsenal’s chances reflect their strong start to the campaign and consistency in Europe. While competition from English rivals and Spanish heavyweights remains intense, the data underscores that the North London club are firmly established among the front-runners for continental glory.
