Arsenal part ways with the out of project Takehiro Tomiyasu

Arsenal have agreed with Takehiro Tomiyasu to mutually terminate his contract at the club that was meant to expire at the end of next season.
Tomiyasu did not feature for Arsenal since coming on as a substitute in the Premier League win over Southampton in October 2024 as his only first-team appearance last season.
His contract at Arsenal had been due to expire in June 2026 but both parties have agreed to cut ties this summer, a year before his deal ran out.
The Japan international full-back underwent knee surgery in February this year and is not expected to return to full fitness until almost the end of 2025.
Tomiyasu signed for Arsenal in August 2021 for €18.6M from Italian side Bologna and has taken major roles including playing as a right back and left back and playing as a centre back sometimes.
It is not yet known where the star will join after his rehabilitation time elapses but with the Arsenal search for a defender in Christhian Mosqueira of Valencia it seems a move to replace him has already taken shape with Arsenal seemingly expected to reach an agreement to purchase the star in a deal in the region of €18Million.
Arsenal are also looking to add Ajax young star Jorell Hatto who is valued at £50 Milion by the eredvise side and Arsenal are said to be interested in the star.
