Arsenal are reportedly close to completing a deal with Belgian side Club Brugge for Greek winger Christos Tzolis in a move that could cost around £35 million.
According to reports, all major details of the agreement between the two clubs have been settled, with only the final approval from Arsenal’s management remaining before the transfer can be officially completed.
Tzolis is expected to travel to London for his medical tests and contract signing once the final green light is given. Arsenal are yet to make an official announcement on the deal.
The 24-year-old forward has attracted attention after impressive performances at Club Brugge, where he rebuilt his reputation following a challenging period in English football with Norwich City.
Tzolis, who can operate on either wing, is viewed as a player who can add attacking depth and competition within Mikel Arteta’s squad rather than an immediate guaranteed starter.
The reported move comes as Arsenal continue their search for attacking reinforcements, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers still believed to be a key target for the North London club.
Rogers remains highly rated by Arteta’s recruitment team, but negotiations for the England international are complicated by Aston Villa’s valuation of the player.
If completed, Tzolis’ arrival would become part of Arsenal’s strategy of strengthening squad options as they prepare for another season competing for major trophies.
