Arsenal manager confirm a striker to be signed.

Arsenal manager and head coach Mikel Arteta has given a hint on players he is looking to sign as the summer transfer window approaches.

The summer transfer window opens on 1st June and clubs like Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham, Manchester city and Chelsea are willing to strengthen respectively in their areas of weaknesses.

In a Press conference on 22nd May Arteta has wished that Arsenal add to their striking options by recruiting a winger, a lethal striker and a backup goalkeeper to David Raya.

Arsenal are targetting the Newcastle United number 9 Alexander Isak but the asking price of £120M can easily fade the interest due to Arsenal's principal of spending less on one body.

Despite the arrival of Andrea Berta as a sporting director at the club a few days ago, he has opted to sign quality over numbers.

Reports from sports pages have shown that Arsenal are deeply rooted in the acquisition of sporting Lisbon's Viktor Gyokeres to cover up the number nine at Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta himself is favouring a move for RB Leipzig's Benjamin sesko but the concrete interest in him has since then faded.

It is unclear of who Arsenal will sign but the truth remains that Arsenal will add a striker this summer transfer window.
