Arsenal after winning against Leeds United

Arsenal produced a dominant display to beat Leeds United 4–0 at Elland Road on Saturday, restoring momentum in their Premier League title push and opening up a seven-point lead at the summit.

The Gunners overcame a pre-match setback after Bukayo Saka was ruled out through injury, with his replacement Noni Madueke stepping in seamlessly as Arsenal took control of the contest from the opening stages.

Arsenal’s pressure paid off midway through the first half when Martín Zubimendi opened the scoring, giving the visitors a deserved lead after sustained dominance in possession and territory.

Leeds’ problems deepened before the break when goalkeeper Karl Darlow turned the ball into his own net while attempting to deal with a dangerous corner, allowing Arsenal to head into half-time with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

The visitors maintained their intensity after the restart and put the result beyond doubt when Viktor Gyökeres struck in the second half, capitalising on Arsenal’s sharp movement and clinical finishing.

Substitute Gabriel Jesus added a fourth late on, rounding off a comprehensive performance that highlighted Arsenal’s depth and attacking quality as the title race enters a decisive phase.

Leeds, meanwhile, struggled to create clear chances against a disciplined Arsenal defence, and the heavy defeat leaves them searching for answers as they continue to battle for consistency in the league.
