Granit Xhaka’s second half winner, also made sure the Gunners earned their place at the Europa League Knockout phase.
The two sides face off again in a week’s time, with Arsenal needing only a point to wrap up top spot and qualify directly into the last 16.
Arsenal have now won 13 of their 14 matches in all competitions this season, their only setback being the 3-1 defeat against Manchester United.
Arsenal return to Premier League action on Sunday with a visit to Southampton, hoping to continue with their top form.
