Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak has not travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour in Singapore, club sources confirming the decision was due to a thigh issue. Although a precautionary scan returned clear results, the club is reportedly managing the situation cautiously.
The absence of the Swedish forward comes amid growing speculation about his future. Reports indicate that his representatives have opened discussions with several Saudi Pro League clubs over a potential transfer deal. However, no official offers have been confirmed.
Isak’s situation also follows a firm stance by Newcastle in rejecting a £120 million bid from Liverpool. Despite the Reds' strong interest, the Magpies insisted the 24-year-old is not for sale. Liverpool have since pivoted to sign Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt in a surprise move to bolster their attacking options.
