Kenya Shine At FEASSSA Games With Handball And Volleyball Triumphs

Kenya stamped its authority at the FEASSSA Games in Kakamega, with St Luke’s Kimilili Boys and Moi Girls Kamusinga clinching the handball titles in electrifying finals staged at Masinde Muliro University.
Kimilili edged out defending champions Adegi of Rwanda 31-30 in a pulsating encounter, sealing sweet revenge for last year’s semifinal defeat. Coach Fernwick Opicho lauded his side’s discipline and credited the passionate Kenyan fans for pushing the boys over the line.
In the girls’ category, Moi Girls Kamusinga battled to a 26-25 victory over Uganda’s Mbogo High, with coach Godfrey Simiyu praising the players’ resilience in the nail-biting contest. Kenya’s dominance was further felt on the volleyball courts, where Cheptil High and Kwanthanze High reclaimed their titles, while Uganda’s Bukedea Comprehensive School lifted the boys’ football crown and St Noa Girls retained the girls’ trophy.
The week-long competition proved a showcase of East Africa’s finest school talents, underscoring Kenya’s growing dominance in regional sports.
