bolttech partners with Loop to launch new financing and protection programme for devices

Global insurtech, bolttech, announced its entry into the Kenyan market on September 1 via its partnership with LOOP, the fintech subsidiary of the NCBA Group. The move extends bolttech’s presence in Africa, bringing its embedded protection and insurance solutions to one of the continent’s most dynamic and fast-growing digital economies.
Through this partnership, bolttech and LOOP will launch a new product, LOOP FLEX, a transparent, convenient, and trustworthy Buy Now Pay Later solution enabling device financing to customers this October. The new programme will make it easier and more affordable for customers to own the devices they rely on, while ensuring they are fully protected.
The solution combines flexible financing with comprehensive, mandatory device protection seamlessly embedded into the LOOP customer experience, including theft, accidental and liquid damage, mechanical breakdown, and extended warranty, with all repairs handled at certified service centres using genuine parts.

- Theft protection: A gift voucher towards a new device-based balance (after 30 days) with a 10 per cent deductible, supported by a police report filed within 48 hours.
- One-time repair for mechanical damage and liquid damage: Covers e.g. screen, case. battery cracks, or internal component repairs and water damage, with no deductible for repairs.
- Certified repairs: All repairs use genuine parts at certified service centres, preserving device quality and longevity.
- One-time repair service: Covers repairs up to the original device value.
- Simple claims process: Customers can file and track claims easily via bolttech’s digital channels.
