“We’re inheriting a dilapidated country; a country that is on its knees economically. We have no time for sideshows, personal differences, inferiority complex, and competition that is unnecessary. We have a job to do.” Rigathi Gachagua in a statement said.

Kenya Kwanza deputy presidential candidate Rigathi Gachagua now says he is backing William Ruto’s State House bid because the latter will, in turn, also support him. He also noted that they will not have time to quarrel.

Gachagua, speaking during the 2022 deputy presidential debate at CUEA on Tuesday night, dismissed the possibility of himself and DP Ruto quarreling amongst themselves should they win the August 9 polls.

According to the Mathira Member of Parliament, the differences and hostility being witnessed between DP Ruto and President Kenyatta were brought about due to what he termed as an inferiority complex.

Gachagua also stated that if Uhuru had worked with Ruto in his second term the country would not have been where it is today.
