Bring my Brother Back Home! Machachari's Mama Baha to Protest Outside President Uhuru's Office.
Wanjiku Mburu popularly known as ‘mama Baha’ for her role in local tv drama Machachari is ready to go the unusual way in a quest to bring her brother George Mburu and cousin back home. She confirmed her plan to hold a walk-in protest from Nairobi west to President Kenyatta’s office in a bid to move him to do something with regards to getting the two, back home.
The actress while speaking during an interview with local radio station on January 14, confirmed the walk is set to take place on January 28, which also happens to be her birthday.
George Mburu and the cousin were abducted in 2014 after leaving Kenya to Somalia for work. Six years down the line with no progress, Wanjiku reveals that the ransom demanded by the abductors was unattainable.
She has further asked anyone who may have any information regarding her abducted brother and cousin to reach out to her on social media and also seeks financial support from well-wishers through an M-Changa account she opened to raise the ransom required by the abductors as well.
On December 27, through her YouTube channel, the actress, released a 15-minute video imploring Kenyans to help her bring her brother back home. She also mentions her families’ attempts to get help from government authorities including the letter she wrote to the president back in 2017 which she alleged never got any reply or assistance.
