The late Dutch tycoon Tob Cohen’s burial has been pushed to Tuesday 24th September 2019.
The private burial ceremony will be under the Jewish burial rites.
Cohen was to be buried on Monday 23rd September 2019 afternoon, at the Jewish Cemetery on Prof Wangari Mathai Road in Nairobi. However, the burial could not take place because the family could not get the minimum required number of priests to perform the burial rites according to Jewish Culture. They managed to get only eight priests out of the needed minimum of ten and a Rabii.
Cohen’s wife Sarah was escorted to the Cemetery for the final burial rites of her husband as ordered by High Court Judge Stella Mutuku today at 2 pm following her request to attend the ceremony.
The late tycoon’s wife, Sarah Wairimu is accused of murdering her husband who was found dead in a septic tank and is due for psychiatric assessment before she pleads to the charge on September 26th, 2019.
