Kibra Member of Parliament Ken Okoth died on July 26, 2019, at the Nairobi Hospital after a long battle with colorectal cancer. The late Kibra MP had clearly expressed his wishes to his doctors, family, and close friends against being put on a life support machine if his condition deteriorated.
During one of his interviews, Ken Okoth said the diagnosis was not easy to come by because he presented symptoms of ulcers and bacterial infections for over a year, all of which he was getting treatment for. The symptoms delayed the diagnosis as by the time his doctor ordered for a more advanced scan, cancer had hit stage four, which he termed a little late. He was, however, positive he would pull through, a statement that got him dubbed the name ‘Cancer Warrior.’
The Late MP’s body is preserved at the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi as Funeral arrangements are underway.
Communication on the funeral arrangements to follow soon.
